Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Collector's Pocket Book (the "service"), a ServiceLinked service provided by J & M Billing LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). The technology is built and run by Restorations of America, Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • One account per person. A business may use an account under its own name, provided the person using it is authorized to act for that business.
  • You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in email or Google account secure, and for activity under your account.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • catalog, sell, transfer, or appraise goods you know or suspect are stolen, counterfeit, or illegal;
  • add false entries to a piece's history, misrepresent what a piece is, or manipulate vouches or reputation;
  • upload unlawful content or malware, or infringe anyone's rights;
  • scrape the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with how it runs.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. A piece's history is what makes the Nexus trustworthy, so falsifying it is the most serious violation.

3. AI estimates are not appraisals

This is not legal, financial, tax, insurance, or appraisal advice.

Identifications, valuations, forecasts, scarcity reads, authenticity checks, and Boardroom appraisals are automated estimates based on the information available when you ask. They aren't certified appraisals, and they don't guarantee price or authenticity. For decisions that matter, like an insurance claim, a large sale, or a tax filing, get a qualified professional.

4. Trades and transfers between members

When you trade with or sell to another member, the agreement is between the two of you. We aren't a party to it, and we don't guarantee any item, payment, or member. A transfer on the service records that a piece changed hands and moves its history to the new owner. It is not a bill of sale or legal proof of title. Vouches reflect members' opinions, not our endorsement.

5. Your content

  • You keep ownership of everything you upload: photos, notes, and records.
  • You give us a limited license to store, process, and display your content only as needed to run the service for you. That includes showing it to others when you choose to share it, and carrying a piece's history to its new owner when you transfer the piece.
  • You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

6. Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are Regular ($9.99/month or $99/year), BYOK ($24.99/month), and Pro ($49.99/month or $399/year), billed through Stripe. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Charges appear on your card statement as JM BILL SERVICELINKED.
  • Founders Lifetime: a one-time payment of $299 for the BYOK plan's features for as long as we operate the service, limited to the first 200 purchases. It is personal to your account and can't be transferred.
  • Credits and add-ons (Regular): credits are bought in packs and used for pay-per-use add-ons at the prices shown in the app. We ask before each charge, and automatically refund a charge when the request fails. Credits don't expire and have no cash value; unused credits aren't refundable except where the law requires.
  • Plan limits: each plan has limits on pieces, photos per piece, and monthly AI pulls, shown on our pricing page and in the app. If you move to a plan with lower limits, nothing you already have is removed; you just can't add beyond the new limits.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel anytime from Billing in the app. Your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Refunds: if you're not happy with a new subscription, email us within 14 days of the first charge for a full refund.
  • Failed payments: if a payment can't be collected, your account moves to the free plan. Your vault and its history are kept.
  • Price changes: existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to them.
  • BYOK: you supply your own Gemini API key and are responsible for Google's charges for your usage. If the key stops working, AI features pause until you provide one that works.
  • Monthly AI pull allowances don't roll over; they reset on the 1st of each month.

7. Changes to the service

We're always improving the service, so features may change. We'll give paid members at least 30 days' notice before removing a feature their plan includes. We don't promise uninterrupted availability.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime from your Profile. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where it's appropriate, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your vault first.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy of automated estimates.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or losses from decisions based on automated estimates. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.

11. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your trades with other members, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email active members before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
